Small Arms Defense Journal will be distributing at IDEB 2014 from Hall B Centre No. 101.
The International Defence Exhibition Bratislava, which has taken place biannually in the capital city of the Slovak Republic since 2006, opens its doors once again May 14th – 16th, 2014 at the exhibition grounds of Incheba Expo Bratislava.
The IDEB 2012 Trade Show attracted 221 exhibitors from 24 countries, who, using an exhibition area of 36 000 m2, displayed military systems and equipment designed for specialized missions related to national defense and security. A total of 22,587 visitors from 31 countries attended the show.
Held for the first time in Slovakia, high-quality side events such as NATO Industry Days allowed representatives of business entities to meet officials from NATO’s four significant agencies and the European Defence Agency (EDA). They were also able to familiarize themselves with the agencies operating under the North Atlantic Alliance, the areas of their activities, and ways in which they can participate in international procurement.
The IDEB 2014 professional side events program includes: The International Conference on Military Technologies – ICMT´14, Cyber Policy & Cyber Forensics Conference – AFCEA TechNet Slovakia 2014, and the International EOD Consequence Management Conference. These events include discussions with army sportsmen and women, presentations of interesting projects, screenings of films with military and military history themes, and company presentations of firefighting equipment novelties. As part of a new project entitled the “Central European Security Week,” GLOBSEC, a leading foreign policy and security forum in Central Europe, will host a security conference.
