MSPO 2023: Mission is Underway

Last year’s Jubilee International Defence Industry Exhibition brought together 613 exhibitors from 33 countries. The trade fair hosted 60 delegations from 39 countries, including eight at the ministerial level. 25,000 guests from all over the world attended MSPO 2023. According to conservative estimates, this year’s exhibition stands a chance to be even more significant; an additional temporary expo hall will be built for the purposes of the exhibition. Such expo halls have already been installed in Kielce exhibition and congress centre for the AGROTECH Agricultural Technology Fair’s purposes.

Intensive preparations for the event are underway. May is the time for military reconnaissance at Targi Kielce; this follows a many-year tradition. The Armed Forces Exhibition coordinators convene for a few days for an onsite visit. The group consists of representatives of the Inspectorate for Armed Forces Support, the General Staff, as well as the Operational Command of Polish Armed Forces, the Logistics Bases’ representatives and the Kielce exhibition and congress centre’s staff and MSPO task force. The reconnaissance was an opportunity to make many necessary arrangements regarding expo stands, soldier accommodation and equipment, and transport. The Armed Forces Exhibition is an inherent part of MSPO. This year’s banner of the soldiers’ show is “New equipment – new challenges – new opportunities.”

Not only is MSPO a comprehensive presentation of military equipment, but it also abounds with business meetings and contracts concluded between manufacturers from different continents and the defence sector bodies. MSPO is ranked third among all Europe’s exhibitions, after the Paris and London trade shows. This year’s MSPO is held from 5 to 8 September 2023. The auspices of President Andrzej Duda, of the Republic of Poland, have been granted to the expo. The Polish Armaments Group has been the Strategic Partner of the International Defence Industry Exhibition. PGZ will also be the largest Polish exhibitor; the group, together with its holding companies, will occupy the entire “C” expo hall and a large part of the outdoor exhibition grounds.

Since 2004, the Lead Nations’ Exhibitions have been an indispensable part of the military show; this year’s Lead Nation show features South Korea for the second time in history. An asian partner at this year’s MSPO is a natural consequence after Poland has decided to purchase a large share of military equipment from this country. The South Korean Lead Nation Exhibition will occupy nearly 2,000 square meters and is the showcase for market’s top players, including: Hanwha, Hyundai Rotem, KAI, HHI, LIG, Poongsan, KIA, LS Mtron, Huneed, SNT, and others.

MSPO also offers seminars and conferences, including those of an international nature.

We look forward to seeing you at Targi Kielce. The trade show is held from 5 to 8 September 2023.
