ABOVE: B&T UNIVERSAL SERVICE WEAPON

NEW WEAPON FROM B&T; THE UNIVERSAL SERVICE WEAPON

Recent terror events in the world and especially Europe have changed the playing field for many police agencies, intelligence services and even some military units. The B&T UNIVERSAL SERVICE WEAPON® (USW®) was designed as a response to this emerging and very serious threat. The USW® is not just a new weapon, but an entire new category of weapon that fills the gap between Pistol, Submachine Gun and Police Carbine. The design will enable any police officer to engage targets effectively out to 75 meters and to deliver head shots to bomb vest wearing subjects at 25 meters. This is thanks to the totally new concept that combines the latest Aimpoint Nano® Red Dot Sight, Side Folding Stock and a clever patented design that has made B&T products much respected and appreciated the world over. The current threat is not anything that Europe has faced before. The terrorist chooses the time, place and exact moment to strike. They are always armed with military assault weapons and often with suicide bomb vests and when the attack starts they want to die. These facts give the terrorist the advantage when confronting police or other security personnel because the engagement distances are much further than with any typical criminal. A handgun does not provide enough accuracy and range in this situations. The extended range plus the added burden of stress makes this a very difficult situation for any service to deal with quickly. That is the reason for the USW®. It will equal the playing field for law enforcement at the moment it is most needed. It is ideal for general Police work, including Airport Police, Railway Police, Customs Service, harbor security, Air Marshals. Anywhere the chance for a longer distance shot is possible. The USW is a Swiss engineered, Swiss produced and design patented service weapon that combines the size of a normal duty pistol but extends the range and accuracy to that of a 9mm police carbine. The weapon is a system. It is delivered with a B&T designed Level 2 retention holster, the new state of the art, Aimpoint NANO® Micro sight. The newest and most modern sight produced by the well-known Swedish company. The rest of the kit includes the B&T Advanced Pistol Light (APL), 3 magazines, single point sling with sling loop, cleaning kit, polymer transportation box and folding stock. The various types of belt loops for the holster provides safe and reliable portage of the weapon during all missions. This can be on the belt in a high ride position, on the leg or attached on a MOLLE vest for tactical use. The user does not require any further investment to put the weapon into service. The only option is the sound suppressor which uses the same technology as the B&T produced and well-known Impuls IIA® suppressor, which is. The OEM choice of most of Europe‘s pistol producers. The USW A1 weapon has a DA/SA trigger pull and is made with an alloy receiver. The USW is a polymer constructed weapon with a striker type trigger. The magazine release and slide release are ambidextrous. The folding stock is integrated into the receiver of the weapon. It is not an add-on part. The top slide has unique flared ears to facilitate racking the slide and normal manipulation. The bridge of the receiver which mounts the Aimpoint is fixed. The Aimpoint does not move and stays stationary during the cycling process. The frame is also machined with a NAR (NATO Accessory Rail) to accept any type of light or laser pointer on the market. These features will enable most shooters to produce a 40 mm group at 25 meters and a 170mm group at 75 meters when using professional quality ammunition. The purpose designed holster will enable the operator to draw and fire the weapon in less than 1.5 seconds at a target without the stock extended. The added movement of extending the stock and firing a time of less than 2.0 seconds can be achieved. It is semi-automatic only. The USW® is a practical and reliable response to today‘s terrorist threat.

GRAYBOE INTRODUCES NEW FIBERGLASS STOCKS

Grayboe is pleased to announce the release of its two flagship products, the Outlander and the Renegade. Both stocks are high quality off-the-shelf options for large OEM’s, distributers, custom rifle builders, and individuals looking to upgrade their existing hunting or tactical rifle stocks. Grayboe stocks are designed and manufactured with the same strength, quality, and attention to detail as custom fiberglass stocks but come in at half the price and with very short lead times. Grayboe stocks are constructed of a proprietary solid homogenous compound of fiberglass, calcium silicate and micron sized spheres in a specially formulated epoxy matrix. Each stock is formed under high pressure and heat which creates an exceptionally stiff and high strength platform that is able to withstand all weather and shooting conditions. Several color options are available and ready to ship. Standard paint colors include black, khaki, gray, and olive with standard Hydro-dip options of Kryptek Nomad, Mandrake, Typhon and Highlander. Additional colors, paint techniques like spider web or speckle, and specialized dipping options are available to high volume buyers. The materials used in these stocks make it possible for rifle builders to custom Cerakote these stocks to fit their specific customer’s requests. The Outlander is the traditional hunting stock. The Outlander is ambidextrous with a straight comb and traditional hunting style pistol grip that feels like an old friend. The Outlander is light weight and sleek for easy and efficient field carry. The slightly oversized fore end will accommodate up to a #5 barrel contour. The Renegade is the only authorized and licensed McMillan A5 design on the market. It uses a beavertail forearm that is wider and flatter than most stocks which makes it suitable for the bench shooter or for real world tactical deployment. Action and barrel sit lower for enhanced stability and control. The Renegade uses a trim pistol grip, helping the shooter to maintain steady rearward pressure and keeping the butt more solidly “in the pocket”. The dual purpose butt hook is fully functional for either riding sandbags or controlling the rifle with the non-trigger hand. The Renegade is ambidextrous. New Anti-Mirage Suppressor Covers

When shooting suppressors on rifles, especially long range precision rifles, most shooters want to install a thermal suppressor cover. Such covers offer hand and rifle case protection from extremely hot suppressors in training scenarios. In the long range precision field the suppressor cover does more than offer protection. It blocks the heat waves coming off of the suppressor tube from floating up in front of the optic and causing the wavering mirage effect that makes it hard to accurately focus on that far away target. Many of these covers are made from heat resistant fabric and some other temperature resistant material that surrounds the suppressor much like a small jacket. Kool Hand is a new company offering the next generation of suppressor covers that are very reasonably priced. The Kool Hand KHSC-II covers are made from a premium patent-pending silicone compound that endures extreme temperatures and will not melt. At this time the new covers are made to fit one of the industry standard sizes; 1 ½ inch diameter suppressors. They are shipped with a 7 1/4 inch length but can be trimmed to fit your suppressor. The cover weighs just a little over seven ounces so once installed its presence is barely perceptable. The covers will not crack, dry out or deteriorate from sun, UV, or ozone exposure. Using a KH Suppressor Cover will greatly minimize heat mirage when using optics. KH Suppressor Covers provide protection from scratches and damage to suppressors, and feature a rifled interior to combat forward movement during rapid fire. These can handle up to 1000 degrees F and semi-auto fire up to 180 rounds of 5.56mm. The new covers come with a small bottle of lubricant to help install the cover, simply coat the suppressor tubes’ outer surface with the lube and then forcefully push the cover onto the suppressor. The covers are available in black, Flat Dark Earth, FDE camo, Olive Drab, Desert Tan, DT camo and Navy camo. For more information please contact them at www.koolhand.com.
