Blackhawk, a manufacturer of law enforcement and military equipment for over 30 years , announced today that the United Security Group (USG) has been awarded a four-year contract from the Federal Police in Belgium to deliver new duty holsters from the brand’s T-Series holster line. As part of the contract, law enforcement professionals within the Belgian Federal Police and local police zones in Belgium will begin utilizing T-Series L3D holsters to carry their primary service pistols.

The contract has a value of over $2.1 million and features the same holster solution that was adopted earlier this year by the French Army and the Niedersachsen State Police of Germany.

“This contract is a testament to the craftsmanship of Blackhawk products and the brand’s commitment to equipping law enforcement officials around the globe,” said Jeff Sposito, who leads the Blackhawk and Stone Glacier brands of Vista Outdoor.

The Belgian Federal Police selected the Blackhawk holsters to carry their service pistol, the Smith & Wesson M&P9, while the local police zones in Belgium will have the ability to purchase new duty holsters compatible with their Glock 17/45 service pistols.

The USG noted that Blackhawk T-Series is a secure and versatile platform, with the T-Series L3D holsters coming standard with the Jacket Slot Belt Loop or being compatible with the agency-selected Blackhawk Micro Tac Platform. This modularity allows officers to select the form of carry most suited to their needs without sacrificing accessibility or security.

To date, T-Series holsters have been selected for duty use by over 3,200 law enforcement agencies both in the U.S. and abroad. As the world’s first thumb-driven, dual-injected molded holster, the T-Series is Blackhawk’s premier duty-rated holster.

Last month, DroneShield’s counter-drone equipment was selected for deployment to Ukraine under the latest Australian Government aid package. The total value to DroneShield is $10.4 million (out of the $20 million package to four Australian companies). Full delivery and payment under this contract is due to occur prior to end of this year.

”Russian drone attacks on Ukraine have been a regular occurrence since the start of the war,” said Oleg Vornik, DroneShield CEO. “DroneShield is pleased to be supplying our drone detection and defeat systems to Ukraine under this sovereign aid package.”

DroneShield has received multiple orders from the Australian Government as part of a $20 million dollar military assistance package to Ukraine, with a total value to DroneShield of $10.4 million.

$5 million of cash receipts from the $10.4 million total was included in the record $48.2 million cash receipts YTD to 20 October, announced earlier this week in DroneShield’s latest quarterly 4C release. The remaining cash receipts are expected to be received prior to end of 2023.

DroneShield is pleased to share the ongoing support by the Australian Government for its cutting edge counter-drone capability, including the image of the Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese with DroneShield DroneGun Mk4 handheld counter-drone system, at the White House complex in Washington D.C.

”DroneShield continues to receive strong support from both Australian and U.S. Governments, being our two home bases,” Oleg Vornik, DroneShield CEO, commented. “This image of the Australian Prime Minister holding our flagship product is a showcase of this support. Most work we do, is under strict confidentiality due to the nature of our customers, and its pleasing to see this public endorsement of our work, as global tensions and hostile use of drones continue globally.”

“This contribution will provide Ukraine with some of the best capabilities in the world,” said Prime Minister of Australia Anthony Albanese, “while investing in Australia’s sovereign defence industry and technology sector.”

SIG SAUER, Inc. is honored to announce the ROMEO-M17 (RM17) red dot sight has been assigned a NATO Stock Number (NSN). This distinguished designation is part of the continued modernization efforts of the Modular Handgun System (MHS) Program. For inclusion on the MHS Additional Authorized List (AAL), the U.S. Army evaluated numerous pistol red dot sights, from multiple manufacturers, through vigorous environmental and performance evaluations and the RM17 and R2 achieved successful selection. In fact, the RM17 stood above the rest as the best performing and most durable sight evaluated. The issuance of the NSN to these products streamlines the procurement process for all NATO members and partner countries as an identified standardized material.

The ROMEO-M17 (NSN: 1240-01-713-9795) was developed from the ground up for the U.S. Army’s Modular Handgun System and is the ultimate aiming solution. The RM17 will withstand the rigors of the battlefield, featuring the proprietary SIG-LOC mounting system with bottom-mount technology and 5 interface points with the pistol slide, for an extremely strong and robust lock-up. Combined with the side-mounted battery the sight has an extremely low position when mounted to the slide, offering a full sight picture and co-witness with the existing standard-height iron sights.

“The assignment of an NSN number is an exciting achievement for SIG SAUER Electro-Optics and the ROMEO product line. With the global demand for these products the NSN assignment will allow for ease in the procurement process, the ability to increase our reach within the NATO countries, and faster deployment” said Andy York, President, SIG SAUER Electro-Optics. “This assignment is also significant to non-NATO customers and civilians as the NSN designation does not come easily and signifies that the ROMEO-M17 has achieved a testing and use acceptance by the world’s most discerning military customers.”

The SIG SAUER Electro-Optics ROMEO-M17 is a mil-spec, fully enclosed and gas-purged red dot reflex sight with a distortion-free glass aspheric lens and is submersible to depths up to 35 meters. Other features include a new and very robust flexure-arm adjustment system made of the same Beryllium Copper found in many riflescope designs, and a housing that is forged and machined from 7075 Aluminum with an integrated loaded chamber indicator (LCI) gas deflector and machined anti-reflection grooves on all rear facing surfaces for reduced glare. The optic incorporates a high-efficiency point source red LED emitter, with 2 MOA dot/32 MOA circle reticle, independent brightness adjustment buttons, 15 brightness settings including night vision settings, and a side-mounted CR2032 battery compartment with a threaded battery cap so the optic does not need to be removed from the pistol for battery changes. The ROMEO-M17 has a minimum continuous runtime of 50,000 hours at medium brightness setting, and utilizes MOTAC (Motion Activated Illumination), MAGNETAC (Magnetic Activation), and D.A.R.C (Dark Adaptive Reticles & Coatings) technologies.

ROMEO-M17 Specs:

Objective Lens Diameter: 24mm

Reticle: Circle dot with 2 MOA Red Dot / 32 MOA Circle
